Truckee Gravel takes place on

June 28, 2025

August 23, 2024

Save the Date!

Truckee Gravel returns June 28th, 2025.

Registration will open later this year, but for now, make sure to mark your calendars and pay attention to your inboxes for an official announcement when we open the floodgates!

Like Brand New

We dug deep... really deep to reinvent our approach with Truckee Gravel. We said it before, that these things take time. Thank you for believing in us, and for giving these brand-new routes a try. We worked closely with Truckee Trails to increase our volunteerism, and saw the event grow by 50% over last year.

Given feedback from previous years, we knew we needed to raise the bar, so we worked extra hard to bring you something different, and deserving of a home like Truckee, California. Please let us know if we delivered...

Post-Race Survey

Did you race? Your voice is important to us. Not everything is obvious from the inside of the production engine, so we look to you, the participant to help us see it from the outside where it matters most. TAKE THE SURVEY.

Rebecca's Private Idaho

August 29 - September 1st, 2024

If you enjoyed your experience at Truckee Gravel, you might have taken a moment to consider what it was that made it all happen--a lot, a lot, a LOT of little details. The crew here at Bike Monkey shares a common passion: working hard and striving for success. It takes something special to do what we do. Want another taste of what we dish? Come to Idaho.

RPI is our next stop 8 weeks from now. Much of what you experienced here in Truckee will be draped over the rugged interior of Idaho's ration of the great Rocky Mountains. If you haven't already seen or experienced this incredibly special place, we highly encourage you to give RPI some serious consideration.

Our Partners

When we partner with brands at Bike Monkey, it's a lot less about paying for eyeballs, and a lot more about being a part of what makes our events special. We ask each and every one of our event partners to roll up their sleeves and integrate themselves into the fold. In this way, we truly do it together. Here's how they crushed it:

Visit Truckee-Tahoe

Truckee is a gem in the heart of a recreational paradise, and Visit Truckee-Tahoe has given us the boost to explore even further. Our seven-year journey through Tahoe National Forest has led us to incredible heights, with Truckee as our trusty basecamp for all our adventures, biking and beyond. We hope you're discovering the magic of this place too. Dive into this wonderland and learn more here.

Henhouse Brewing

Without a doubt, the cold craft beer that Henhouse provided was a necessary thirst-quenching topper that many of you desperately needed at the end of a long day in the forest, working your butts off. We managed to blow through 7.5 of our 8-keg allotment on Saturday. Henhouse Brewing is in Bike Monkey's back yard, and one of our favorite flavors of craft beer. If you're ever in the neighborhood, stop by and let them know Bike Monkey sent you.

Fjällräven

Typically, when you wake up at 3 AM to hit the course and walk a single-track section to fine-tune course marking, trudge across a wet grassy field to hoist 50lb speakers overhead, erect shade tents in the hot sun, and lift 130lb kegs of beer in and out of a pickup bed in the afternoon you'll change your clothes about three times. But our entire staff was pleasantly surprised after being kitted out with technical gear from Fjallraven that we made it through the entire day without having to do that once. This is not an understatement. There are a lot of options when it comes to dressing to perform as an event organizer or going on an outdoor excursion where the temperature and conditions will swing wildly throughout the day, and they usually consist of packing several different layers and changes for different conditions. But the spectrum of temperature that our staff gear was able to keep us comfortable in throughout the day literally blew our minds, and for that reason, Fjällräven gets a gold star from us for their involvement in quite literally giving us a performance edge as a production crew.

We highly encourage you to check out this brand's incredible lineup of high-quality outdoor apparel and gear as soon as humanly possible. Take a look at Fjällräven’s Summer Offerings! Remember to use code TRUCKEEGRAVEL15 to claim 15% off your first purchase.

Orucase

Without a doubt one of the coolest podium prizes of the day was at the top step with Orucase handing out some amazing duffels to the big winners. Don't miss out on their current offer to Truckee Gravel participants and followers. Save 25% right now in their store! Use code TRUCKEEGRAVEL at checkout.

Best Day Brewing

Post-race imbibing doesn't have to leave you flatlined on the lawn. Best Day was dishing up some of the tastiest post-race "recovery" drinks on planet earth, and they continue to improve their lineup of flavors. Want a beer without the buz? Get some!

Lost Sierra Wine

Lost Sierra's approachable, handcrafted wines are built to pair with outdoor adventures and the company of friends and family. Sourced from the iconic growing regions we know so well, each of our wines embodies a unique element of the Lost Sierra that we hope to share and explore. Please check them out!

Pacos

Pacos is one of the friendliest bike shops we've ever encountered. What's more, they handle winter as well. Basically, Pacos is your one-stop-shop for two of the biggest sports in the Truckee area. They led our bonus content rides, and fielded mechanics throughout the course at each of our aid stations on race-day. Without them, that chain of yours would have sounded like a Pacific Union train rolling through town at 4AM by the end of the race. But it didn't.

Truckee Trails

No event of this scale is possible without a valiant charitable partner for two reasons. First, they're crucial to this community's access to surrounding openspace. Truckee Trails helps develop and maintain over 180 miles of existing non-motorized access in the region. Second, it is a covenant with ourselves that no matter where we produce an event, we give back to organizations that meet the criteria of having a positive, and lasting impact in their community. The exchange? A little elbow grease. Truckee Trails brought volunteers and led some of the toughest aid stations on Saturday, and you of all people know how important that was. All beer tips and sales went directly to Truckee Trails, and your donations during registration also support their cause.

Pretty Great Instant Coffee

‍Not only did Lachlan Morton make time for us this past weekend, he also brought his team from Pretty Great Instant Coffee, and fired everyone up with their free hot and cold coffee on Friday and Saturday. Bike Monkey's president, Carlos Perez is by all accounts one of the biggest coffee "snobs" in the industry, and it can be hard to get him to crack a smile (for anything really - he's a serious dude). But when he tried Pretty Great, we're pretty sure we saw a smirk. It's that good. No,...  It's Pretty Great.

OSMO

‍So popular, we ran out. Not what you want to hear, but the popularity of OSMO as an electrolyte during race-mode was at an all-time high this past weekend, and in spite of scaling up, we still ran a little short toward the end of the long day at a couple aid stations. Not to worry - there's plenty more where that came from, and if you're looking for something to fuel your next ride, you can get some of your own during their 4th of July sale right now!

Muc-Off

‍Wash your bike! But do it right. HUNDREDS of bikes were treated respectfully after giving them the beans on Yuba Pass, Cottonwood, Lemon Canyon, Smithneck, and Dog Valley roads. But not every weekend is a race where Glenn Summers will be waiting on your front doorstep running a wash crew. Muc-Off can put the power of cleaning your bike properly in your own hands. Head over there today for a limited time and build a bundle of product to save 30% off your order!

Annnnnd...  Scene!

Truckee Gravel is one of our leading events, and has a stratospheric trajectory. It wouldn't have happened if you didn't tell your friends, so thank you for coming, and for bringing your besties. We hope to see you again next year on June 28th, 2025.

With love and adoration,

The entire cast and crew at Bike Monkey.
